DIFFERENT OPERATING SYSTEM - GALLERY
After receiving a late diagnosis of ADHD, dyslexia, and dyspraxia Jane realised she operates differently from those around her. She struggled with emotions and their regulation, feeling like “the kid at the edge of the playground watching everyone play but not understanding how to join in.”
Jane's photography visualises these emotions. Flowers represent her connection to nature. This is a grounding force. Glass symbolises the barriers that cloud her experiences, preventing her from fitting into a neurotypical world. The interplay of light, distortion, and texture mirrors her internalised hyperactivity and daily chaos.
